A Founder Portrait Series

The brief

A founder needed portraits for a press profile — the request was refreshingly short: nothing corporate-looking, nothing over-posed, just something that looked like them on an ordinary working day.

The approach

One lens, window light only, no assistant, no second location. The whole sitting ran under an hour, most of it spent talking rather than shooting — the frames that made the final set were the ones taken once the sitting itself was forgotten about.

Results

The lead image ran across three separate press pieces over the following year.
